The day-to-day operations of SIMA are run by a full-time staff consisting of an Executive Director, Managing Director, and Marketing and Events Coordinator. SIMA staff can be reached at 949.366.1164 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sean Smith oversees operational duties for the association and manages the daily activities and initiatives to help strengthen SIMA’s role in the industry. Prior to joining SIMA staff in 2001, he was the former director of marketing for the Action Sports Group of magazines, now owned by Source Interlink, where he oversaw the marketing and public relations efforts for magazines such as Surfer, Snowboarder and Skateboarder. His prior experience also includes serving as a public relations specialist for the tourism board in central Florida and marketing manager for Golfweek, a national weekly golf publication. Sean obtained a B.A. in Journalism from University Central Florida.
Shannon Park Zseleczky
Shannon Park handles SIMA’s strategic partnerships and sponsorships as well as events, marketing, communications and media relations. Shannon is a graduate of UC Irvine with a B.A. in Art History. Prior rejoining SIMA in 2015, she was the Marketing Manager at Surf Expo and Event Manager for SIMA.
Marketing and Events Coordinator
Jordan Schweitzer coordinates SIMA’s membership, events, communications, and marketing. Prior to joining the SIMA team in 2017, she was the Marketing Coordinator for Orange Coast Magazine and Sales and Marketing Coordinator for Prime Luxury Property Magazine. Jordan is a graduate from FIDM in Los Angeles with an A.A. in Merchandise Marketing.
